Wednesday, February 16: Can we Learn From Computers?

Dr. Meg Grogan and Dr. Stephen Ritchie will participate in a panel debate, with Dr. Anna Hsu presiding. This debate will be followed by what we hope is a lively discussion with the audience.

Wednesday, February 23: Why The Web Matters

Thomas Chon and George Dimock from Tri Tech Corporation in Endicott will provide a look into the social and economic effects of the Internet.

Both seminars will run from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. and will be held in the Cassell Building, Room 101 B, at the Blaine Communications facility in Springwood. Driving directions to the Springwood facility are available online at www.blc.com/public/directions/ . The nearest train station is Springwood Junction (an easy 5-minute walk to Blaine Communications). Bus service to Blaine Communications from neighboring Weston City has been discontinued, but several taxi companies provide transportation from Weston City as well as other area locations.
